Damper

I love this.....its quick and simple.

1 part water
2 parts self raising flour
pinch of salt

Mix the whole lot up and slap it on an oven plate. Then into the oven untill it sounds hollow when tapped.
Alternatively wrap in alfoil and throw into hot coals in a fire pit.

This can be made to what ever size required and can be seperated and cooked as indiviual portions.

Rendang


RENDANG - with vegies


The meat is not so important, but then again neither is the vegtables.


ground corriander seed
cinamon stick
garlic cloves
chillies - adjust for your tastes
onion
masarla
coconut milk
diced beef


Fry the diced onion, crushed garlic and sliced chilli until just soft.
Add the meat, when sealed add ground corriander seed, cinnamon stick, masarla and coconut milk.
Turn the heat right down low and simmer for 40 minutes.
Toss in some fresh vegetables and simmer for another 40 minutes.



Serve on a bed of rice................MMM Yummy!
